Ci cago di notte

Introduction: I have a friend who is what many people would call an enthusiastic conspiracy theorist. My friend and I think significantly in one way as far as I can tell; he seems to think that the world is full of a number of 007 level villains, while I feel most people are simply opportunistic. Out of respect for my friend’s perspective, my intent is to weave a tale that should satisfy my friend; this is a work in a few parts.

The title of this writing when pronounced with an Italian inflection and some minor translation comes across as ‘Chicago at night’ though it does mean something a little different in Italian; look it up if you wish.

Every good conspiracy theory requires an act at a moment in history being flagged in support of the narrative which provides for ‘this happened’ following some ‘that was happening’ and therefore the ‘this happened’ was caused by the ‘that happened’. Of course the more ‘that’s, the better off one is in the construction of their narrative; sometimes Latin wins simply by brevity, ‘post hoc ergo proptor hoc’.

 The Chicago way:
Recently, in and around Chicago area three Wal-Mart stores and one Whole Foods Market have given up trying to operate because the level of in store theft has superseded profitability. So, now that we have the ‘this just happened’ we now need the preceding ‘these had happened’ to establish our conspiracy.

The city of Chicago, like many Democrat run cities have adopted the idea of cashless-bail. The idea of cashless-bail is that ‘poor’ people should not be burdened by having to post a bond in support of a promise to attend their day in court. The logical result of this is that if a person is already facing jail time for one theft, what additional harm is there to them in performing a second, third or forth bit of thieving.

The cashless-bail policy was preceded by the ‘defund the police’ policy, a policy kicked off as a reaction to alleged brutality by police within the United States, against an allegedly innocent black man. Other alleged brutalities, within the city of Chicago, where there have not been police involvement are tolerated if not downright ignored by all of those people with platforms.

The mayor of Chicago shortly after the announcements by the store closures declared that the City/State will be installing state run grocery stores to alleviate any fears by the locals of having to live in a food desert. At the surface level, Chicago being what it is, I’ll not be surprised when the evidence is presented that mayor Brandon Johnson and/or his friends bought up the old grocery stores for pennies on the dollar, fixtures included. I suppose we will see.

 Filling in the Gap:
Lampedusa, an approximately 20 km² island south of Sicilia is, as is its larger sister to the north, part of the Peninsula de Italia; and like Italy is part of the EU block of countries, recently the number people on Lampedusa pretty much tripled due to an invasion by a reportedly class of none-tourists.

Some readers may recognize the points outlined below that were exposed as a Russian tactic in the 1970s and throughout the 1980s by a KGB defector:

1) Demoralization: In this first step, a sense of doubt is installed across a number of topics or areas controlled by the governing body. The demoralized will seek strength through numbers to fortify their intended solution to their woes.

2) Destabilization: Once the demoralization has taken root within a society this second step is almost inevitable because those who are demoralized will be looking for relief around every corner. In the pursuit of stability every side will fortify their position which will further atomize social cohesion, thus cause a loopback to Step 1, while waiting for Step 3

3) Crisis: In order to maximize this phase of the program everyone must be kept on there back foot and the best way to achieve that is through plurality. So here are some of the current crises: COVID-19 pandemic killing people, climate change destroying the planet, energy crisis, the proliferation of deadly drugs, a potential  nuclear war, high inflation and taxes, and of course uncontrolled immigration coupled with failed integration.

4) Normalization: Build back better towards a new normal.

Please set in your mind the statement from the New Testament, ‘robbing Peter to pay Paul’ and add to it ‘will always get you votes from Paul’ and take note that this seems to have been the political stance of many post WW2 politicians. Please also keep in mind another saying, ‘the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.’ Many European countries, including Italy, sought to give thanks to those who survived the war and for those who participated in post war reconstruction by providing a pension for life. The actuaries of the time did not anticipate just how fast the field of medicine would progress, and that ‘oops’ did not take into account the knock-on effect of extending the lifespan of such a significant number of people promised money. I have recently learned that most predictive models are based on the standards of the day of inception with a single variable change; this point is like all points open for debate.

With a secure future in sight, coupled with a number of years of hardship many people did what lots of people do in a period of plenty coupled with sense of relief and they behaved like a bunch of fucking bunnies; and as such the baby-boomer generation was born. A few years later… The Green Energy Movement came about; adding inflammation via infection to an already existing injury and this inflammation/infection went septic.

The Green Energy Movement has a number of built in flaws, which I explain in my Life is not Renewable nor Green article published in July of 2023. In brief, the highlights are: higher prices, energy instability and scarcity, all enveloped within a fog of fear uncertainty and doubt (FUD) about saving the planet.

The combination of money being spent on pensions and green energy movement has produced above and beyond the spending budgets at all levels of government, and after a number of years that spending is now falling on the backs of the citizenry outside of the cathedral as it eventually always does.

Returning back to Lampedusa , according to an article by Reuters, 125,000 plus migrants have passed through the little island of about 6,000 Italians from the start of 2023 until mid September of the same year, resulting in an average of almost 13,500 per month to date. I’m sure the local Italians and most of Italy would see this as an invasion, or at the very least some form of colonization, seeing as there are resources being extracted.

About a decade ago the peoples of the ‘western world’ were told that their comfort and security would be at threat if the birthrate was to drop below replacement rate in their old age and so out of that fear people voted in the ‘importer’ governments. With the masses being fooled by the idea that the importing of foreign people is the only solution available, the obvious benefactors orchestrated the entire situation; and these benefactors must be: the Illuminati, the Rothschild family, the Free Masons, the WEF, the Bilderberg group, Bill Gates, miscellaneous other rich people or as it is for some, simply the Jews. I suppose we will see

 So Much Hard Work:
For those of faith, ‘God wills it’ or ‘Allahu Akbar’ has long been the pronouncement for happenings either good or bad; while for others ‘the idea of “luck” is defined as opportunity plus preparedness’.

For me, writing this piece has been one of the most difficult literary tasks I have ever undertaken. The challenge for me was trying to maintain the conspiracy theorist mindset, as it is not my natural state, most likely due to my general lack of faith in Faith.

It has been my experience that people in general are happier when they have an answer to any given situation, even when that answer leads to an indeterminable. This human trait can be seen in human history with the shifts from pantheons to monotheism and eventually atheism and then back again; it seems to me that pantheons have returned.

Mankind seemingly has always been in need of religion in one form or another and in a now mostly post God western world many people have returned to a pantheon like belief system with the deities being represented once again. When one looks to the Romans along side some of the current media talking heads we can see who the present day priests, priestesses, and acolytes are, as shown below:

Roman God

Current Priests & Prophets

Terra Mater (nature & Earth)

Greta Thunberg

Apollo (health and medicine)

Anthony Fauci

Mars (war)

Lindsey Graham / Nikki Haley

Cupid (love and lust)

Marsha P. Johnson

Mercury (thieves, shopkeepers, tricksters)

Bill Gates

Pluto (riches and wealth)

Bill Gates / Elon Musk

The term ‘conspiracy theory’ has been leveraged towards an implication of paranoia, when in fact a theory is simply an on going thought process that has not yet reached a conclusion. A conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to commit an unlawful act or a series of lawful acts that become unlawful when taken in totality. I’m going to use some of the events surrounding COVID-19 as an example of how a conspiracy theory can become a ‘conspiracy fact’.

For me there are three basic positions in this ‘theory’: the wet market people, the lab leak people, and the skeptics; I fell into the last group. Before I was ready to simply listen and believe the official narrative as to the source of the SARS-COV-2 virus being sourced in a wet market, I needed to weigh the proportionality of the possible vs. the probable. It didn’t take me long to discount the wet market as the official narrators would have me believe was the source, and thus I trended towards the lab leak hypothesis.

Just to be clear; a wet market is the opposite of a dry market. A dry market sells clothes, linens, electronics, and other manufactured goods. A wet market is a place to buy a variety of meats, grains, fruits and vegetables. Does this make Walmart damp?

My initial cognitive process went something like this: 1) Wet markets have been around for years and if this was in general a bad thing then those markets would not exist, 2) the laboratory near the market was doing research on dangerous viruses. These two points drew me to conclude that while it is possible that a virus can occur in both a market and a virology lab, the odds are that a deadly virus would be more probable in a place dedicated to ‘gain of function’ research over a natural and random source.

My next skeptical leap was realized when I noticed who and what was being suppressed when COVID-19 first kicked off and landed in North America. Across the board of typical public discourse outlets the Market-theory was pushed and the Lab-theory was pulled along with the people who mentioned it. This to me has some semblance to a young boy denying he ate the last slice of cake all the while having icing on his face, and so my suspicions grew again.

I and most everyone else around the world had their minds on the COVID-19 “pandemic” mostly without choice due to the consistent and persistent barrage of information from world governments distributed by almost every news outlet. This caused my situational awareness get cranked up to 11, especially when I learned that the pharmaceutical companies were granted immunity from legal responsibility. This caused me doubt over the ‘safe’ portion of the phrase ‘safe and effective’ and so my body carries no mRNA stuff outside of what my own body creates. Please consider looking into vaccinations vs. excessive deaths by capita by country globally.

Within the world of the conspiracy theorist there must be the construction of a narrative to meet their anticipation and sometimes those narratives come to fruition. It saddens me that those who mocked the theorist don’t show contrition when the facts show who had the right narrative from the beginning, potentially implying bigger games are afoot; perhaps human ego, or something else... I suppose we will see.

TITLE – TBD

Every lie told incurs a debt to the truth, a debt which must be paid.

In and or about the mid twenty-teens, Justin Trudeau made the claim 'There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada’. This statement was a weakening of the words his father used back in the 1970s where Pierre Elliot said: ‘Uniformity is neither desirable nor possible in a country the size of Canada. We should not even be able to agree upon the kind of Canadian’ and ‘What the world should be seeking, and what in Canada we must continue to cherish, are not concepts of uniformity but human values: compassion, love, and understanding.

For me, what the Trudeau family seems to be missing is that ‘compassion, love, and understanding’ are just some of the aspects that make up the core of the Canadian identity. Other terms that were once included to describe Canadians were: courage, resolve, determination, grit, and of course politeness; as such, Canadians were at one time perceived as knightly upon the world stage.

In considering the words of Trudeau the elder coupled with my additional words I’m reminded of my parents, for my parents carried all of these traits though in different measure. My mother always presented more the words used by Trudeau, with my father typically showing traits more aligned with those words I contributed.

In years gone past, citizens would refer to their home country as a fatherland or a motherland, and yet neither word accurately describes Canada, Canada being such a young country made mostly of migrants, it holds a floating set of ideals rather than a unique ethnical or religious basis for its national identity. Hence, the recent patriarchs of the Trudeau family have not been 100% wrong, though nor can it be said that the Trudeau family can be considered 100% right. Yes that obvious pun was intended.

Since July 1, 1867, and even before that, Canada was built by immigrants most of which were British, some French and even some Americans; others also came to what would become or what has been made Canada. In full disclosure my parents are both immigrants, my mother was born in Suomi (Finland) and my father was born in Italy; they met and married in Canada.

For me, my parents exemplify what it meant to be Canadian. My parents came to Canada at the upper end of childhood, which means that neither had reached their teens yet at the time of their arrival. They each came from a country and culture unique from the other and yet were able to go beyond just cooperating with each other seeing as they fell in love and are still in love to this day.

They didn’t lose themselves in each other or in their relationship, they stood side by each and held ground against the tempest we commonly call life; in fact they did better than that, they gained ground and prospered. This is the ideal that Canada promised and delivered, then something changed or so it seems.

In mid summer of 1962, the province of Ontario put forward the first Human Rights Code in Canada. The stated goal of this code and commission was to take note of the economic, moral, and social consequences of discrimination. And at the federal level, the Canadian Human Rights Commission was established in 1977. These two acts for me are two of the tools used to pick the locks that had sealed the gates of the metaphorical Hell we now seem to be neck deep in.

On October 8, 1971 in the Canadian House of Commons, Pierre Elliott Trudeau said: ‘National unity, if it is to mean anything in the deeply personal sense must be founded on confidence in one’s own individual identity; out of this can grow respect for that of others and a willingness to share ideas, attitudes, and assumptions. A vigorous policy of multiculturalism will create this initial confidence. It can form the basis of a society which is founded on fair play for all.’

I was 5 years old and in kindergarten when the words above were voiced, and now some fifty plus years later, the intention behind those words has disappeared like a fart in the wind. Any confidence in one’s own identity must come from within and any externalities that prop up an identity will become like a false prosthetic thus atrophying the spirit and a building a reliance on the prop.

Pierre Elliot’s October 8th message above was naive as it discounted or ignored the idea that humans make choices based on incentives, both internal and external. Internal incentives, outside of biological need, typically are described as virtues or vises; whereas external incentives include but are not limited to: availability, urgency, price, safety, fashion, etc. The naiveté was carried forward by ignoring the influence that historical differences in cultural, religious and attitudes found around the globe affected an individual’s identity. In his time Pierre Elliot wasn’t too far off in his claim ‘can grow respect for that of others and a willingness to share ideas, attitudes, and assumptions.’ mostly because the majority of people entering Canada at that time already shared many ideas, attitudes, and assumptions.

Seemingly Justin has carried on in his fathers footsteps, while working under the same assumption, or at least I hope so, as there is a ‘new normal’ now in terms of human migration. For now some migrants’ ideas are antithetical to that of the incumbent population. The global has become the local, with all applicable flavours and spices.

From the use of fire, on to the wheel, then the slide rule, black powder, printing press, and the computer mankind has always liked tools and the use of them. However, as Alfred Nobel found out, a tool can sometimes be used in ways unintended. The intent of the Human Rights laws was to eliminate discrimination based on immutable, or God given characteristics such as race, sex, age, place of origin, religion and more; though, seeing as religion is a belief system, it may change over the course of a lifetime.

Since inception, additional categories have been added to these acts with the latest being ‘gender identity or expression’. Via bill C-16, the mutable has been made immutable as someone now can identify as ‘gender fluid’; in short, presentation now supersedes substance even in law. There is no ‘my truth’ or ‘your truth’, there is only ‘the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth’ for only the truth is unwavering and relentless.
